drove from Wilpena Pound to McLaren Vale (east of Adelaide) on 3 January.

called Southern Vales. If you’re in the area
then this B&B is highly recommended!
Australia has a way of cutting through the bull!
Our purpose for visiting McLaren Vale was to partake of d’Arenburg’s
fine produce. And thanks to Carol a big mistake on my part was corrected: I
should have booked a table at the Verandah restaurant
– Carol was able to get us in!
The man with (probably) the best job in the world…
Julie drew the short straw and was the driver for the day. I put
my freedom to very good use; sampling several fine wines, selecting one to
accompany our meal and then drinking 5-sixths of it!

lived up to our expectations in every way!
