We had a one-week walking holiday in the French Alps. Based at Chalet Hotel Les Campanules (which
we very much enjoyed) in the village of Les Houches,
we did several excellent walks in the Chamonix Valley. Here is a selection of
photos from our trip:

Bossons Glacier: the
scene of two fatal aircraft accidents. In 1950 an Air India
passenger aircraft hit the glacier in bad weather. And in 1966 another Air
India aircraft crashed in almost the same location on the glacier. Periodically
the glacier will disgorge wreckage from the two accidents: the nearby mountain
chalet has some of these items.
Neither Julie nor I will ever grow tired of The Alps!
