Julie and Lance: We are now Civilly Partnered!

The new form of legal union was delayed (due to the pandemic) in Scotland. We had hoped to sign the legal documents on our twentieth anniversary. And back in 2018, when we made the plans, it looked certain – then the pandemic hit and the Scottish parliament had more pressing issues to attend to. The first opportunity for issuing the Banns was 1^st June, making the first chance of signing the legal documents the 30^th June – just over 1-month after our 20^th anniversary!

On the 30^th of June at high noon we became civil partners
