For her birthday
this year Julie expressed a desire to fulfil an ambition: cycle over the Glen
Ogle viaduct. The railway line was closed in 1965, and was converted to a
cycling/walking path (the Rob Roy Way) in 2001. We cycled from the Mhor84 hotel
(formerly the Kings House), Balquhidder to the Grandtully Hotel near Ballintaggart.
And the following day back to Mhor84 where we also stayed the night.

The weather
forecast kept changing during the days leading up to the trip.
But our luck
held, and we had two nice days for the trip - only a little rain.
The Glen Ogle
Viaduct: Julie's ambition achieved.
And I got to
cycle the viaduct too.
With all the
rain the Falls of Dochart were in full spate.

Of course, Julie

Some of the
hills were rather demanding.
The good weather
held.
The weather
turned appalling on the day we headed home.
