2021:
Sandy and Graham’s 58th Anniversary To celebrate their anniversary (and
Lance’s birthday couple of days later) we booked the four of us into the
Overwater Hall Hotel for three nights. We have stayed at the Overwater on several
occasions and enjoyed every visit. It is (conveniently) located exactly
halfway between Letham and Codsell, just north of Skiddaw in the English
District. |

Sandy and Graham’s anniversary was celebrated in style: Champagne, wine
and a three course meal of high cuisine. |

On day-2 of our stay (Lance’s birthday) we all ventured down a slate
mine at the top of Honister Pass. |

A surprisingly interesting mine visit: it was not without some need for
care; Graham excavated several new seams with his hard-hat! Very entertaining, and well worth a visit. |
