We spent a few days in Sutherland, in our opinion one of the most
beautiful and (at the moment at least) unspoilt places in the UK. Here are a
few photos to give a flavour of our trip.
Our hotel for the holiday: Kylesku. With
one of the most stunning views from any dinning room
anywhere.
Loch Glendhu changes moment to moment
To be fair, we did have all four seasons, often all in one day!
Sunset: Loch Glendhu
Kylesku Hotel also
serves good food!
We walked immediately from the hotel on a 7-mile loop
Fabulous views of the far North West
We did some cycling on a couple of days. Here, cycling to Drumbeg past the base of Quinag – a lovely mountain
Drumbeg is accessed along
one of the most beautiful roads in Britain
Around every turn there are exquisite views
It is a crazy road!
Drumbeg does have a
nice café: The Little Soap and Candle Company
The crazy road continued: here between Lochinver
to Stoer
And includes the Stoer peninsula
The Stoer peninsula road gives great
views of Foinaven, Arkle and Ben Stack
And Canisp, Suilven
and Cul Mor
And finally back to Kylesku Hotel and
Loch Glendhu
