Le Tour de Mt Blanc

This was my choice of 60th Birthday holiday. (Julie's 50th Birthday holiday was Patagonia).

The TMB is a walking tour of a little over 100-miles with over 32000ft of climbing. Several companies offer guided tours of this route, and we opted for the Classic Tour provided by KE Adventure - it was an excellent trip!

Below is a selection of photos from the trip. These photos are not a scratch on those taken by Mr Li, one of the eight other folk on the tour with us. I will update this page when I have links to other photos.

Chris, our excellent guide, was just too tired to stand

Serena is taking the photo and Price somehow failed to feature

We arrived in Argentiere one-day ahead of the formal start of the trip. We took a cable car up to a trailhead taking us to fabulous views of the glacier immediately above Argentiere.

It was a beautiful sunny day, and we were treated to fine views of the glacier

Below are a few photos of our TMB.

Into Italy, and the only occasion we got to see the summit of Mt. Blanc

Brief though it was, we saw the summit

And then one moment later the summit was gone again

On and on, Chris pushed us on

All contributed to a great holiday!

Many Thanks to Chris and all our new friends on Le Tour de Mt. Blanc.
