After
leaving Kangaroo Island we headed north to Adelaide, where we were to spend two
nights – allowing us one full day to visit the city.
The botanic gardens in Adelaide are a must see: combining plants and
architecture in a very inventive way.
The gardens are situated at the north of the city near the Torrens
River.
Interesting, and quite tame, birds populate the gardens: ever seen
a punk-pigeon?
There is also some interesting street art.
Adelaide is a very nice city, and in spite of the few photos here,
has a lot to offer. However Julie and I are not really city people, so the
following day we made our way to the railway station to board the
Indian-Pacific train to Perth.
