Julie
had been in Sydney for nearly 2-months before I joined her just before Xmas.
She had rented an apartment in Coogee – a quieter and
less commercial area than nearby Bondi.
First breakfast in Coogee, Sydney, and Lance
is trying to deal with jetlag.
He’s not dealing with it very well though!
We were staying at Coogee for the first
few days.
Australians have a way with words!
A much-photographed scene, and we
couldn’t resist taking one or two for ourselves.
The view from the center of the bridge: the Opera House and the
CBD
A “must-see” part of Sydney is the Royal Botanic Gardens.
As well as see lots of amazing birds you find a great many fruit
bats!
We were around for the annual Sydney to Hobart yacht race.
Not to be missed, the start of the race is a big party. Note these
two guys getting their priorities right!
And I’m not averse to joining in the celebrations also…
We spent only a few days in Sydney before taking a flight to
Adelaide. At Adelaide airport we collected a car and immediately headed north
to Melrose.
