Some tempting warmth this week, but now there could be. month&#8217;s rain this weekend.  For my #SixOnSaturday, here are some calm scenes and rich autumn colours for this week&#8217;s viewing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m going to keep showing off the dahlias as long as they keep going.  There&#8217;s still a sweet little pastel one having a go at flowering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2199\" height=\"1654\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/dahlia.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1770\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There is also a good showing from a spiky, cactus type in a glowing autumn red.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1863\" height=\"1483\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/dahlia2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1778\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The veg garden has been productive this year. Kale has done really well, I suspect because there were so very few common white butterflies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2331\" height=\"1693\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/kale-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1780\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And apples, will anyone take them?  We are drowning in apples.
