A blizzard of snow this week has been rapidly followed by a deluge of snowmelt and rain, it has barely got light.  So this week&#8217;s #SixOnSaturday are a bit of a mis-mash of frosty snowy times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, my garden hosts an ancient sundial, at least a couple of hundred years old. Local experts have suggested it was a weeding gift, with the newly wed&#8217;s initials carved into the top surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"3080\" height=\"2060\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/sundial.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1859\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Hard frost really sets off some still-standing seed heads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2090\" height=\"1949\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/seedheads.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1860\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Frosted roses are lovely too, these look a lot like they&#8217;ve been crystalised in sugar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2110\" height=\"1947\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/rose.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1861\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, in the greenhouse, a potted cosmos has had one last blast at trying to flower. Heroic for December!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2051\" height=\"1974\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/cosmos.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1862\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And then came the snow and cold, freezing the pond, making the garden gorgeously white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2158\" height=\"2710\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/pond.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1863\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But bamboos in the courtyard flopped a little, making the exit from the house into a winter jungle adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"3009\" height=\"2029\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/snow-jungle.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1864\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I hope you enjoyed my wintry #SixOnSaturday.
