There&#8217;s not much incentive to get into the garden. But I struggled out to find six lovely things. here&#8217;s my #SixOnSaturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first is a bit of a cheat.  Some daffs seemed to be coming up a bit quickly, so I moved the pot into the greenhouse. Here&#8217;s a cute little January daffodil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1957\" height=\"1633\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/daff.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1929\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On a bright, sunny afternoon, the light caught the structure in a twisty hazel tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2022\" height=\"1999\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/twisty.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1930\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve been pleased to see some signs of spring. Furry magnolia buds are coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1558\" height=\"1478\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/magnolia.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1931\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Sempervivum, I&#8217;m never sure what they are for, but on a cold winter windowsill, they do at least look to be thriving, hanging in there waiting for less harsh days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2160\" height=\"2031\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/house-leek.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1932\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I have a witch hazel hiding in a shady corner.  We really must be approaching the lighter days, it is just about to flower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1639\" height=\"1536\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/witch-hazel.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1933\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Last, but not least, something green. Somehow, parsley seems to be surviving the winter storms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1965\" height=\"1871\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/parsley.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1934\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s my #SixOnSaturday for this week.
