Makes me feel a bit better about not planting my tatties yet. Am trying to keep warm by looking for cheering garden colour.  Keep warm with me, by viewing my pinky-purply selection for this week&#8217;s #SixOnSaturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Periwinkle (vinca) are having a great spring, they seem to be impervious to the cold.  A pretty flower on a plant that can become a huge thug, even grows through a cobbled path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2345\" height=\"1424\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/vinca.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2086\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Camelia really are at their very best now, enjoying the cold, but not so much the frost. Either way, my huge old shrubs have flowered very well this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1749\" height=\"1800\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/camelea.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2087\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Previous garden custodians planted a range of azelea, which does very well here. I&#8217;m not sure I&#8217;d have chosen this shade, though the colours fit very well with the rest in today&#8217;s little collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2463\" height=\"1892\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/azelea.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2088\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Not much to say about primrose, other than it brings a little cheer, for a long while, and spread very nicely around the borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1424\" height=\"1053\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/primrose.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2090\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A delicate single tulip has appeared in the front border. Wonderful shape and form, but I can&#8217;t remember where it&#8217;s buddies went&#8230;mouse winter fodder?  Even on its own, this one is a wonderful sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1196\" height=\"1183\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/tulip-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2091\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Last, POW&#8230;this year the honesty is going bonkers. Each plant is 1m high, this one is also 60cm wide. I wonder what I did right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2542\" height=\"1433\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/honesty.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2092\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks for viewing my pinky-purply picks for #SixOnSaturday this week.
