I&#8217;ve had a good look round the garden, and found yet more pink and red blooms to enjoy the season with.  Happy #SixOnSaturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, a summer favourite, valerian is having another go, a second flush of flowers after lots in June and July. Here she is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2044\" height=\"1633\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/valerian.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2881\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are also some hardy geranium left, they have been going for months on end, and I&#8217;ve shown them many times. here they are again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2085\" height=\"1594\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/geranium.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2883\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Also still going, are verbena bonariensis, these have had a great year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2267\" height=\"1808\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/verbena-bonariensis.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2884\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Also near the end of the season, Japanese anemone are waving their cheerful flowers around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2413\" height=\"1963\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/jap-anemone.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2886\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Sedum are one of my autumn favourites, and are in full bloom now.  This year the dry weather has made the stems shorter. I like that, they don&#8217;t get blown over as much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2771\" height=\"2578\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/sedum.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2888\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Last but not at all least, some tiny cyclamen have appeared in a shady border.  A wonderful splash of delicacy amidst the dark green shade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2978\" height=\"1578\" src=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/cyclamen.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2889\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I hope you enjoyed an autumn #SixOnSaturday. We are now past the equinox, Scotland is rapidly darkening, I&#8217;m not much looking forward to the grey cold that seems to be fast approaching&#8230;..time for us all to chin-up and keep exploring the garden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to those leaving comments on the blog &#8211; sorry if I don&#8217;t always get back to you on time!
