It&#8217;s a scary situation, more than ever I am grateful to live in beautiful Scotland.  This week, it&#8217;s been back into the high 20&#8217;s here, summer blooms are really going for it, lots and lots of flowers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-ce0e8252-4395-4e0e-9523-b74527c14663\">I&#8217;m sharing blooms in pink for my #SixOnSaturday this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-c2e5088b-f699-441c-a5e2-e70e38e7d875\">Dahlia&#8217;s are loving the unusual heat.  This is a new one, in a hot hot pink, wow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2135\" height=\"2223\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/dahlia.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3392\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Much more subtle, but flowering a lot, cosmos is enjoying growing in those warm plant pots by the greenhouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2047\" height=\"2154\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/cosmos.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3391\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A perennial sweetie found its way into the garden. I have it under control this year, growing up a frame. The blooms are beautiful though have no scent at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2314\" height=\"2162\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/sweetpea.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3396\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Another new dahlia, pink, but with an open centre to attract bees and lots of overflies seem to love it too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2010\" height=\"2230\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/dahlia2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3393\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Japanese anemone are responding to warm dry weather by flowering about 3 weeks early. I&#8217;d better love them while we have them this year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2156\" height=\"1695\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/anemonie.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3390\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>My favourite pink thing in the garden this week&#8230;..just LOOK at these luscious lilies, flowering on a 1.5m stem, so many blooms, and in the dry south-facing bed with no watering.  They have done me proud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2749\" height=\"2228\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/lily.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3394\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve enjoyed finding this pink selection&#8230;.also makes up for me not posting last week.
