After storms late in October, it is calm and quiet now.  I&#8217;ve managed to find a few offerings for this week&#8217;s #SixOnSaturday. It&#8217;s getting harder to find the motivation, but here you go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I did find something bright and beautiful, and also edible. Here is a radicchio, I need to get cooking with these before they rot in the damp air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"3138\" height=\"1805\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/radicchio.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3525\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Trees have been holding their leaves well into this autumn, despite the winds.  Catkins are coming on the hazel tree, even before this season&#8217;s  leaves have fallen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"3336\" height=\"1775\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/catkins.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3521\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For a splash of green in these dark and dreary days, nasturtium are still going strong, they will grow and flower until the frosts finally get them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2115\" height=\"2332\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/nasturtium.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3524\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The garden pond reflects some of the leaves left above whilst also carrying those that have fallen already.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2879\" height=\"2918\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/leaves_pond.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3523\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As I managed last year, with a fairly clear greenhouse, there has been enough sun to ripen up a few late chillies. These are lemon-drop, nice and hot yet with a lovely citrus flavour, and they give a bright feel to any dish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2745\" height=\"2411\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/chilli.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3522\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Last this week is a recent sunset, showing off those lovely autumn colours on some of our trees. It&#8217;s not aways driech and dreer here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"3444\" height=\"2699\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/sunset.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3526\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Do join in with your own 6 things from a garden.
