It seems apt to make this week’s #SixonSaturday theme be the turn of another season, and plants that are defying that turn. I managed to get out to grab a few photos this morning, while it was calm and sunny. I’ll start with some survivors. A yellow buddleja always does me proud feeding the last pollinating insects, I think it’s beaten them to the end of season this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"654\" src=\"http:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/budlija-1024x654.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-729\" srcset=\"https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/budlija-1024x654.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/budlija-300x192.jpg 300w, https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/budlija-768x491.jpg 768w, https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/budlija-1536x981.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/balmerino.ddns.net\/geekygarden\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/budlija-2048x1308.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
I cleared some leaves away from the veg bed and found a few wonderfully colourful radicchio underneath.
